Cam Davis (Australia) has once again won the Rocket Mortgage Classic (total prize money of $9.2 million) on the US PGA
Tour after three years.
Davis recorded a total score of 18-under 270 with 4 birdies and 2 bogeys in the 4th round of the final day of the
tournament held at the Detroit Golf Club (par 72) in Detroit, Michigan, USA on the 1st (Korean time).
Davis, who finished the match before the champion Joe and was preparing for an extension, was declared the winner when
Akshay Bhatia (USA), who was tied for the lead, made a bogey on the 18th hole (par 4).
Davis claimed his first PGA Tour win at the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic and followed that up with his second win at the
same event, earning $1.656 추천 million.
Davis, who was competing for the championship, seemed to be out of the running for the title after he recorded a bogey on
the par-5 14th hole when his second shot ended up in the water hazard just short of the green.
However, he finished the game first by making a birdie on the 17th hole (par 5) and sharing the lead with Bhatia.
Bhatia missed a 1.3m par putt on the par-4 18th hole, missing the chance to force a playoff.
Australian resident Lee Min-woo also attempted to force an extension by reducing his score by 4 strokes through the 17th
hole, but suffered a painful bogey on the 18th hole and finished the tournament tied for 2nd place (17-under 271 strokes)
with Bhatia, Davis Thompson (USA), and Aaron Lai (England).
